We are putting in the work towards our long-term and ongoing goals of reducing our carbon footprint at Thyme Kitchen. We use the very best local produce, including meat from Rob Meehan Butchers in Lichfield, Packington Free Range eggs and Silver Tree bakery. As well as these amazing local suppliers we also use Fresh View for our ingredients, who are now changing over to Electric fleets which is another great step towards our goals. This is all very important to us as as a business we strive to be as environmentally conscious as possible, we also work to achieve this is by reducing our wastage by prepping all dishes fresh each day and replenishing stock only when needed, offering our coffee grinds out to our green fingered guests to to use as fertiliser and being part of Sustainably Run Restaurants. Working together with Sustainably Run Restaurants, we help to plant trees in developing countries. These trees help with creating jobs, growing crops and repairing eco systems which all works to help offset the carbon footprint of our restaurant and guests meals. Positively impacting poverty is of course something we are incredibly passionate about. Check out how many trees our amazing guests have planted by adding the £1.23 charge to their bills at the bottom of our home page!
With plenty of dog friendly areas, including our main restaurant and conservatory, that’s home to a beautiful log burner, we have lots of spaces for you and your pooch. We also have a lovey courtyard area with shaded spots perfect for you and your dog in the warmer months.

Here at Thyme we pride ourselves on using the very best ingredients to create all of our brunches, bakes & coffees! Our trusted suppliers include local Butchers Rob Meehan’s situated in Lichfield. Our guests often ask about the source of our sausages & bacon and the answer never fails to surprise- just a short 5 minutes away on Dimbles lane! Another local supplier includes the amazing Packington Free Range who supply us with all of our eggs- and believe us we get through a lot!! We get bakes from Made By Mables situated along side ourselves at Curborough Countryside Center, these are a fan favourite, being served up at Curborough long before we even joined the Centre. The fabulous Silver Tree Bakery supply us with our Cinnamon Buns & Cruffins. Based in Sutton Coldfield, Silver Tree supply some of the biggest restaurants & cafes in the Midlands with fresh sourdough loaves, pastries & cakes. As well as these amazing local suppliers we also use Fresh View for our dry Ingredients and veggies, Fresh View are now changing over to Electric fleets which is another great step towards our sustainable goals.
Thyme Kitchen is a pandemic baby, born out of the need for owners Beth and Jon to find alternative ways to continue their food events business – Sauce Supper Club – during all the lockdowns. Having lots of experience in the Hospitality sector, opening up Thyme seemed like a slightly scary, but very exciting next step!
Thyme Kitchen initially began as a place to prepare top restaurant quality food ‘Dine at Home’ boxes in collaboration with Michelin Starred Chef, Tom Shepherd. We spent our initial months creating and delivering our Dine at Home boxes nationwide so everyone could enjoy some incredible food from the safety of their own homes.
After lots of decorating, dish creating & other various prep, it was finally time to open up as a Brunch cafe once the restrictions were lifted. Thyme quickly became somewhere for friends and families to begin socialising once again – from lone laptop workers to groups of mums, families, community groups, knitters, language groups, builders – everyone.
We have now been open for 5 amazing years where Thyme Kitchen has gone from strength to strength!
